The Quiet Collective is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and well-organized retreat experience. As part of this commitment, The Quiet Collective is responsible for coordinating the overall retreat program, scheduled group activities, and general facilitation during designated retreat times.
Certain elements — such as accommodation, meals, transportation, and excursions — may be provided by independent third-party providers. Participants may also choose to engage in activities outside the scheduled program. This agreement clarifies the scope of responsibility of The Quiet Collective and the personal responsibility of each participant.
This document forms part of the retreat participation agreement with The Quiet Collective. By submitting this form, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
I understand that my participation in the retreat and all related activities is voluntary. I take full responsibility for my actions, well-being, and personal belongings at all times.
I acknowledge that any time outside of scheduled group activities is considered free time. During these periods, whether spent at the retreat location or elsewhere, I am solely responsible for my choices, movements, and personal safety.
I acknowledge that participation in any activities outside of the retreat location — including but not limited to excursions, tours, transportation, or external experiences — is voluntary and undertaken at my own risk. While such activities may be suggested or facilitated by The Quiet Collective, they may be operated by independent third-party providers. I accept full responsibility for my participation and agree to exercise my own judgment and care at all times.
I agree to act respectfully toward other participants, facilitators, and local communities. The Quiet Collective reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.
I understand that certain services, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and excursions, may be provided by third-party vendors. The Quiet Collective is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or service quality of these providers.
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in the retreat and will act responsibly, respecting my own limits and the group environment. I will inform the organizers of any relevant medical conditions where necessary.
In the event of an emergency, I authorize The Quiet Collective to seek local medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so, while contacting and informing my emergency contact on record. I understand that I am solely responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.
I am responsible for my personal belongings at all times. The Quiet Collective is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge The Quiet Collective, its organizers, representatives, and collaborators from any and all liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense that may arise in connection with my participation in the retreat. This includes, but is not limited to:
I acknowledge that participation in travel, group activities, and external excursions involves inherent risks, and I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any such risks.
To the extent permitted by law, The Quiet Collective shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, weather conditions, transportation disruptions, or government actions.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes arising in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that Province.
